Regional Director, Loss Prevention

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Our client is a $20B industry leader with over 2100 locations and an additional 100 added annually. This is a newly created, high-impact, succession-planned leadership role reporting to the VP of Loss Prevention, managing the protection of company assets, and achieving shortage and safety goals for up to 200 stores.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Team Leadership & Cross-functional Partnership:

  • Manage and develop a team of Area Loss Prevention Managers to lead and promote Loss Prevention initiatives and programs.
  • Build and foster a strong partnership with Store Operations; develop and maintain ongoing communication and interaction with the Vice President of Store Operations, District Managers, SHRMs, and Store Teams.
  • Participate in meetings, conference calls, and store visits to implement shortage and safety-related solutions designed to reduce losses through data analysis audits, training programs, and investigations.
  • Work with other cross-functional groups and departments to ensure integrated solutions that impact shortage control and accident reduction initiatives.
  • Manages all third-party relationships pertaining to Loss Prevention or Safety.

Execution & Tactics:

  • Manage LP budgets.
  • Handle all aspects of internal and external investigations, including the physical security of all buildings.
  • Ensure all Asset Protection and Safety audits are completed in accordance with the matrix and are done consistently, objectively, and submitted in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Vice President of Loss Prevention to develop and upgrade training materials and concepts for awareness training sessions.

BACKGROUND
PROFILE:

  • BA Degree or greater, preferably in Business, Criminal Justice, or other related fields. Two years of directly related experience may be substituted for each year of required college
  • Experience in the successful implementation of loss prevention, shortage control, accident reduction, and fraud prevention programs.
  • Possess the highest level of personal integrity with a track record of supervising and conducting confidential, detailed investigations and interviews.
  • Results-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adept with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Able to manage considerable travel.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:

This role requires regular in-office presence, including engaging in in-person team interaction, meetings and collaboration, client support, mentoring, coaching, and/or feedback. This position requires the ability to use a computer, work as part of a team, and the ability to communicate with team members and others. However, this role can perform duties effectively using a combination of in-office and remote work.
